I created Geology News in 2005 in order to provide a central place on the internet about all sorts of geology related news and research. While there were a few sites dedicate to providing geology news, I felt they weren’t what I was specifically looking for.

Now in 2008, there are dozens and dozens of websites and blogs related to the earth sciences and geology. And a large majority of them are fascinating to read. It’s an exciting time in the world of geology.

This site also acts as sort of a discussion forum, allowing users to discuss news related topics, along the lines of Slashdot and Metafilter.
