		<description>Regarding #6, I&#039;d say it &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;IS&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt; evolution, since all &#039;evolution&#039; means is &quot;change over time.&quot; We should be careful not to confuse evolution (the end result) with natural selection (the process by which evolution occurs). Hazen isn&#039;t claiming natural selection, just that the population of mineral &#039;species&#039; on the planet has changed over time: a legitimate use of the word &#039;evolution.&#039;</description>
