Geology News 2008 Election Endorsements
While we here at Geology News hold no illusions on being able to influence elections (not yet anyway), but we’d like to share with you some of our key endorsements before California and the rest of the United States vote tomorrow.
We support Senator Barack Obama’s candidacy for President.
We believe that a high speed rail system built in California is both essential for the growth of our economy and the protection of the environment and urge our fellow California to vote yes on Proposition 1A. (Not to mention, we recently took a high speed train from Barcelona to Valencia earlier this summer and it was FUN)
We cannot support denying the rights of marriage to anyone and urge all Californians to vote no on Proposition 8.
Regardless of how you feel about any particular issue, it is important to vote.
Interesting note: We’ve had to ban certain ads from Google Adsense that were offensive and in favor of Proposition 8. I will not stand for discriminatory ads on my website, nor do I share their views.
