It’s amazing how pretty quartz can become if you throw in a dash of ferric iron and aluminium. Wikipedia says the Romans used to make drinking glasses out of it because they thought it prevented intoxication, but I’m keen to have an amethyst beer stein just because it’d be plain cool.

Wow, that would be awesome. That would also be pretty insane to carve something like that out of one amethyst crystal. I bet something like that is worth major money.
