Hello Gents-
Here at Geologic HQ, we thought we might run into this one of these days. Although it's true the Geologic Podcast isn't about rocks, per se, and it's true that George Hrab is a singer-songwriter, it's also true he's an enormous science geek and has actually lectured on related topics. You might get a kick out of his show devoted entirely to "Occasional Songs for the Periodic Table". It's at geologicpodcast.com and an abbreviated link is:http://is.gd/L8x

cheers,
Ms. Information for the Geologic Universe

Dave,
Thanks for the mentioning CoreCast—we're glad you found it. We're working in new stuff all the time and would love to have your input on topics or any other comments or questions you might have. Drop us a line at corecast@usgs.gov, or submit a question for CoreFacts, our quick, daily science Q&A podcast, at www.usgs.gov/corefacts. Thanks!

I intended to have a geo podcast as part of goodSchist. I've even got the domain name podclast.com. If you need people for a panel, let me know, I'm still very interested in getting one going. We could even do a monthly thing like the accretionary wedge. I've just made a post asking for interested people to step forth: http://www.goodschist.com/2008/03/27/the-pod-clast-is-anyone-interested/

The Geologic Podcast is by a musician called George Hrab, and it's pretty funny despite the misleading name. I highly recommend it.
